Thank you for your comments. I used the longer exposure to obtain a blur effect on the distant boats to give them a rocking feeling.

you could actually go closer...really.

the sign board at the nearest boats could make the cut for your long exposure shot.

but the blur effect seems to make your point of interest unclear. as a viewer, where do you want my eye to see? :)

Thanks Khairi & Adiemus for your comments. Good points.

I had some space constraints. The pic was taken from an elevated road by the beach and the beach was a restricted area. My point of focus is actually those rested boats by the sign board. But because of the space constraint I could not get enough of the beach at the foreground. Guess that would have made an improvement to the pic, eh?
