Requiring confirmation from 500D users.

I was reading up reviews for certain cameras on dpreview.com when I came across the 500D's one.

The review there shows that the 500D's grey obtains an obvious blueish hue at ISO 400 and above, compared to the other cameras. Can anyone confirm this? Will this cause black and white photos to turn out blueish? :sweat:

as far as i know all my B&W in-camera shots with 500D doesn't have any tint. shouldn't be an issue..

nope..often shoot in BW sytle but doesnt turn into cyan bluish...perfect B+w

wrong color balance can be corrected in post process.

btw, your in-camera black and white function, probably serves to desaturate the photo, you will not have any hue of any sort.

that said, using in-camera black and white, i feel, is a sad way to obtain a black and white photo. conversion from color to showcase what you want is the way to make brilliant black and white photos, leaving it at the mercy of a machine merely hints of shooting in bnw for the sake of having a bnw photo, rather than doing so for a purpose.
