Dear CSers.,

Appreciate your advice on the following;

1. How to fire SB 800 as remote without having to pop D700's built in flash?

Using flash trigger that attached to your hot shoe flash on top of your camera body.

or another flash: Sb700/800/900 as commander.

Dear Jeff7id & TwinJet99,

Thanks for sharing.. I'm experimenting another combination as listed;

Trigmaster wireless remote mouted and SB 800 as slave.

My intention is to trigger the shutter wirelessly + remote flash fire without having to pop my built in flash. Is this possible? (been trying and flipping manuals for over 2 hours.)-perhaps I'm really not looking hard enough.

Thanks in advance for sharing. Enjoy the cool Sunday evening.

Hi TS ... maybe you wanna look at this product ...

was surfing when I saw this product
Maybe you wanna look at this item Phottix Aster

Use D700 pop up flash as commander, SB800 as slave, CLS.
But diffuse the D700 pop up flash until minimum light passed through. Use your imagination.

Cheaper option this way but you waste battery power.

Hi Shelomoh,

Thanks for the suggestion. Much appreciated.

This is an interesting toy. So this Nikon IR Panel for Built-in Flash, SG-31R, would block the built in flash, but it still could act as a flash commander right ?

:thumbsup:

you know you could set the d700 inbuild flash to "--". the flash will trigger the remote flashes, but will not affect picture.
