Sorry I'm an idiot when it comes to voltages.

I have this old flashgun - Nikon SB-25 which I borrowed from my cousin. He told me to use 4 x 1.5V akaline AA batteries. Since he didn't pass me the manual, may I ask if I can use those rechargeable 1.2V NiMH AA batteries in place of the akaline batteries instead?

Thanks for the reply. I sure hope so, but to play safe, I'll need a second opinion. Can anyone else help? I wouldn't want to end up not even using the Flash once, and I have to compensate for it.

Hmm... I'm thinking whether it can be used on other devices as well, not only the mentioned Flash.

Hey! At most it will not fire, or fire with reduced brightness, lower voltages supplied will not harm anything.

I don't know about SB25, but I use GP 1600mAh in my SB26 with no problems. Not sure if there is any harm in long run...

Try at your own risk...:what:

Thanks a lot guys. Will try it out tonight. ;)

I've tested out, and it works just fine, and great. Thanks to everyone who helped! ;)
