Zeckson, I' m sure you can shoot the same:) .
IMO, just need to be very alert and decisive to the surroundings.
Thailand has many opportunities. Keep shooting and look forward to your photos.

hesistated for a while whether or not to post as my POV contrasted what others have said so far about this picture.

anyway, I will comment constructively on merit or dismerit of this picture.

I would think this is one example of including several nice elements (sky, cloud, lake, mountain, reflection) into 1 picture which imo didn't pull it off as 1 great picture.

This is a nice picture but there is no emphasis, no strong focal interest and the reflection fell short of being great.

The picture is sharp, front to back, back to front. However, what it is lacking is depth and it almost looks like a piece of nice background paper. This wide angle scene imo needs a foreground interest to break the flatness of the overhead light or choose to emphasize an interesting element or two using the pulling power of a telephoto lens.

I agree with jasphotography. Jus a sharp pic lacking a strong point which attract one's attention.

I feel if u have composed this pic cropping the top at the ranges of mountains and used the reflection to bring out the sky, it might have more impact then this.

Jasphotography & tan131.
Appreciate your critique. I'm open to hear different views and
seek improvement. This will helps the forum to be more interesting.ThanKs.

Picture with foreground elements or show the more reflection of the clouds
would have a different impact and appeal.

IMO, we are very used to have a focus element and dislike wondering our
views on the many elements in a photo and just enjoy its peace naturally.

Photo with no main focus element of attention would be perceived as "lower grade".
This could be the judges yarstick when we enter any competition; so much
so we always see the same type of photos.:bsmilie:
I am also stuck into this philosophy ..

No right or wrong ;) to me. I would venture into all styles.
In this pix, I just wish to have a sherpherd & a yak to enhance this pix..but there
was none at that moment.

A photo will has different appeals to different people.;)

great location and good exposure,

but I agree with jasphotography as well. Some foreground detail would add depth to the scene and draw the viewer into the image.

just my 2¢ to make your already good image into a great image
