I got this orangey dot in my photographs when shooting sunset pictures. I guess it was caused by shooting at the sun directly. Any idea how to get rid of it?

Can you post the picture?

Yeah, direct into sunlight/light source always gives flare. The best simple solution IMO is to position the flare in a clean bit of space like the sky, then clone it off. Or else, hide the dot in the center of the sun... Or maybe you can make use of it artistically- photoshop even has a fake flare tool to do so

you sure that orange dot isnt the sun itself? ;p

most likely its lens flare or a hot pixel... easiest thing is to clone it off but if it really annoys you take it csc or something

Thanks for advice. will try with shade.
