Hi,
Anyone out there knows where to get original batteries for S5 Pro and how much is it? Checked with John 3:16 just now and the shopkeeper advised, "buy the battery before you buy the camera." Felt stupid and insulted and walked off. Talk about adding insult to injury....

honestly speaking there's none locally for original batt for S5pro. dun feel so bad, they are trying to advice you. you might taken it wrongly.

can always buy 3rd party although it's discouraged. originals seems to perform better than 3rd party. but for the price you pay for 3rd party despite having higher power ratings.

just make sure you dun buy any battery original or 3rd party that used in nikon D200. they don't work on s5pro. you need np-150 type for fuji.

keeping in mind that S5 Pro has been around for some time, and there not many users compared to some other brands; stores may not keep ready stock.

If the store is helpful, you may place an order (e.g. MS Color). If not, stay cool. There's always the big Fujiflm building (the service centre).

Count me in Oldox. I need 2 pieces. I have checked every shop, they don't sell the original S5 Pro battery anymore. Some of the bros might have mopped them up. :dunno:

I'm not senior, but i can give u some info.

Quite a while back, Henessy was trying to do a MO for the batteries. Who knows, u all can work out something with him. I'm sure he will be happy to give us all a hand.

IIRC, there were some reported problems with 3rd party batteries with the s5pro some years ago (or at least when i was still using the s5pro). something abt the intermittent reading of the battery status by the s5pro especially when used with the nikon md-d200 grip.

TS - did you ask CP? usually for all these odds and ends, ur best bet is to go to peninsular CP, not the one at marina. :think:

I have contacted CP Marina today. They don't have it and they are sure that their Peninsula Branch does not have it as well.

I am still a S5 Pro owner without a lens and I am trying to get a battery now. Ha!

I have yet to test the body since i got it from shop last week. Is there any senior staying near Jalan Sultan/ bugis (or willing to come to Jalan Sultan/ bugis) to help testing/checking my camera with their lens after work? Will buy u a decent dinner. cheers,

Hi guys. I am sry to inform you that I am unable to conduct a MO on the batteries as I will be overseas tomorrow till april. In fact I have been trying to hunt for one this few days with no avail. In the end, have to buy one 3rd party one from AP.
