Anyone has tried 24mm / 85mm combination? Are they useful for most occasion such as walkabout?

Or 24mm / 50mm / 105mm more relevant?

Any tips? I am using a film camera hence no zoom lenses.

Different folks will give u different opinions based on individual preference.

I personally like a 24mm n 50mm only for walkabout. But for a one lens option it will be the 24 mm.

You can have zoom lens for film camera too.

I will go for 24mm.....

But it depends on your style and comfort level.

why can't use a zoom lens on film body? as long as it's the same mount it should be alright to use.

anyway it depends on what you like to shoot...

Ya.. Why no zoom? I use a 24-50mm or a 35-70mm on my film slr. Great for walk about in my travels.

There should be zoom lenses avaliable even for film cameras.

Anyway, imho, 24mm is already very wide on 135 film. 28mm was a common wide angle used in those times. 24mm of course is a wider variant to that.
50mm is considered a normal lens, and good all rounder
105 is considered short tele and ideal as well for portraits.
So your choice of 24mm / 50mm / 105mm is already well rounded for walkabouts.

I think a 35mm is sufficient as a walk about lens. probably just get a 35mm, 50mm and a 85mm if budget enables.

I use 35mm and 85mm primes. Really a matter of personal preference.
