Recommended LCD monitor?

Hi all, would like to ask with budget around $400 - $450, what kind of LCD monitor is recommended for doing photoshop(mainly), light gaming and watching dvd? heard about those 2ms(GTG), 8 bit panel and stuffs. what to look out for?

I have went to check out on philips LCD 220WS8FB & 200WS8FB.the promoter claim they are 8 bit panel. what other model can i look out for at SLS? Please kindly advice me on this issue.

I would be grad if someone could recommend me a good LCD for my usage. Advance thank you for those helpful person out there.
