I finally bought the filters from CP yesterday for my 17-40L and they are:
B+W MRC UV 010 = SGD 95
B+W MRC CP = SGD 196
So far have not noticed any difference in the photos taken with / without the UV filter in the casual photos I have taken. Will post the results when I conduct more precise testing.
Thanks guys for the advice. Eventually I decided to spend more in order to get the best of my new 17-40L lens.
PS: The appearance of the case and the carton gives the impression as if it is a cheapo chinese or taiwan made stuff
No wonder .. the contents inside them justify their price a bit.
