Can anyone recommend me an external flash 4 a Nikon F601?
Something that is value 4 money. Not sure about prices, so dunno wats my budget.

Also, wanna know if a 28mm-300mm lens is recommended? Its convenient, but will the pictures turn out as well as a 28mm-70mm lens? Talking about budget lenses.

SB80DX? costs around $500. It's probably the best flash you can buy for the camera.

For a F601, think you can just try to get hold of a 2nd hand SB24(~$200) since it probably can't make use of the functions of the newer models.

Get a SB24 if possible. The TTL works like a charm together witht he F601.
