I am deciding between the two flatbed film scanners: Epson V600 and Canon CanoScan 9000f.
I am wondering if the optical resolution is important in my decision making factors?
Canon CanoScan 9000f has an optical resolution of 9600 x 9600 dpi while Epson V600 is capable of 4800 x 9600 dpi.
Based on one source, Canon CanoScan 9000f d max is about 3.0 while Epson V600 is reported at 3.2
Based on prices, Canon CanoScan 9000f costs about $310 while Epson V600 costs about $410.
Any reviews and suggestions? Is the difference of $100 important for addition dmax of 0.2?
