Recommendation for Scotland

Hi,
I am planning a 2 weeks photo taking trip to Scotland in May 2019. I believe it is Spring period. I am open for landscape, birding and Macro photography. Any good recommendation ? I have yet to fixed the exact location in Scotland. I will be driving on my own.

Loch Lomond is a nice place to stay and take sunrise or sunset pictures.

Even I am planning a trip to Scotland, I would really appreciate if I can get some insights on the itinerary which I should be following. I like to travel a lot and have been to a number of places. Scotland has been in my bucket list.

Was there last sept... its really an amazing place to visit and be in...
Edinburgh - st andrews - glen nevis/fort william - glenfinnan - mallaig (ferry) - skye - loch ness - inverness
Did a few whisky trails too - Dalwhinnie + Talisker + Glen ord;

We are looking at going to scotland again, this time to isle of islay!!!
