Hi guys, first time posting in this forum. :D

I intending to get myself a digital camera intending to go around and shoot for fun. I have a EOS88 which I like to use but if shooting for fun, its costly to develop the photos. My budget is around $700 which is rather low.

Currently, I am interested in the Canon A20. 2.1 megapixel seems fine to me. How big is the memory (default) given? Hows the performance?

Also comparing it with Nikon Coolpix 775 & Fuji Finepix 2800. THe 2800 seem good but the size is too big.

Thanks guys.

Oh.. and also whats the current price for the cameras mentioned above? Thankz :D

With your budget of $700, I'd suggest you go for the oly 2040. Price is about $700?? - $750. The stocks may be getting low for this model though.

Fujifilm Finepix 2800Z - 600

Canon A20 - 560

Nikon - I dunno wor~ :D

Olympus 2040 - Sumone from HWZ got it @ 650 at AP ... or 750 at John 3 : 16 wif sum freebies thrown in~

Casio QV2900UX - 690

Sum prices might a lil' bit outdated ... muz call or email them to check ... betta do both ... den see the discrepancy of the price quotes u get as they can get quite extreme ... den go down in person to recce I guess~ ... ohh and if you tink the 2800Z is big hor ... the rest prolly are even more bulky ... except for the Nikon dat is~ :)

I think he got it for $730 with a smartmedia. not $650

It was $650 for the C2040Z.

The smartmedia was an optional purchase, but quite necessary, I feel. AP quoted $90 for the SM. So settled for a combined price of $730.

FOrgot to add that it was a 128 MB N-plus SM. Made in Korea. But then, the original Olympus SM is also from Korea.
