Recommendation for Backpack

i tried searching around but hope that someone could give a more direct recommendation.. alot of them recommend bags that couldn't carry a tripod with it.

for a backpack to carry

2 lens
1 body
1 tripod

will want it for travelling purposes.

any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

My personal recommendation: Think Tank Streetwalker series. Check them out at TK. If you're not planning to carry too much, the basic Streetwalker is nice and compact. I like it 'cos it can slide very nicely under a plane seat when flying.

ThinkTank is expensive but the bags really feel like they can take a lot of abuse.

Personally I use the Vanguard Uprise 45 which is about $150 from TK Foto.

The main attraction is that it has a side opening to allow you to take out your camera quickly from the bag without having to put it down. The bottom and front side is also made out of durable and easy to clean material, perfect if you shoot outdoors a lot and find that you have to dump your bag on the ground somewhere - the bag will be able to take the abuse.

You can also fit a heck of a lot of lenses inside. You can stuff a DA*50-135 vertically into the small compartments in the lens compartment and still be able to close the cover and carry it. You can stuff a 70-200 f2.8 size lens if you stuff it length wise at the bottom lens compartment.

i love my impulse sling!

i don't see the point in having a backpack unless you are carrying alot of weight and need to balance it on 2 straps. if you don't then a sling is much more convenient as they allow you to swing the bag from back to front and put your camera in without having to take the bag off and put it back on again.

Kata makes a nice sling too... can't remember the model name though.
