Hi,

i am looking for a fujifilm finepix f31fd substitute since it is no longer available. I want a camera that can take great photos in low light condition and has manual controls for me to play with. I do not want to buy a DSLR camera (looking for something more compact).

Any advices and recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

:) i do not have a f31fd. I hope to have one but no longer available. So need to look for substitutes.

can consider f100fd?

might not be as good high-iso-noise-wise.. but the sensor shift stabilization should help a bit..

FinePix s100fs. I just got one. Should be able to fulfill your needs.

If you're ok with 2nd hand items, there are two on sale at the BnS section of this forum. You should grab it if you can, the Fuji F31fd and F30 don't come around too often in the BnS. Seeing 2 in 1 week is quite rare.

How about getting fuji S series? I see the price is cheaper than f31fd and it allows me to play with manual controls. Example S700 costs $359
