recommend dc more or less 1k?

Olympus C-700uz or C-2100uz.
Both r 2.1MP DC with all the maunal controls u need, take good day and nite pix and have big big 10x (380mm) optical zoom lens.
Sells for abt $900.
The diffs betwn the 2 are C-2100uz is bigger, but has a Image Stabilized (IS) lens.
Or the Canon Pro 90 IS, 2.6MP, also 10x IS optical zoom lens. Sells for abt $1.2K ~ $1.6K...sorrie, lost track of price liao.
Or Sony F707, 5MP, 5x optical zoom. Abt $1.6. ~ 1.7K.
Or Fujifilm FinePix 6900z, 3.3MP (interpolates to 6MP), 6x optical zoom. Abt $1.3K ~ $1.4K

Erm...I think it's the C-700uz that has the noise prob...not C-2100uz; but with a firmeware upgrade the noise prob is much improved.
The C-2100uz and C-700uz abt the same price now.
If you really want to learn photography choose C-2100UZ.
You need to buy an extra adapter which cost about $30 to attach lens. Your camera will looks bulky after attached.
And the starlight effect of C-2100UZ is better than the C-700.
I have both 2100 and 700 (not mine) with me sometime, so can compare.....

yea no more noise in the pictures, does the camera in shops already firmware upgraded or still must upgrade? where? how?

yup, the green T-shirt guy is me, nose big like a pig
I use ISO 100 for all the shoots, that's why no noise.
I think all selling in the shop now are latest firmware, no need to upgrade.
