looking for a tripod for object capturing,
currently using Sony F717 with a cheapo? tripod name TAKARA
forgot how much i paid since i got it with a DVcam

the cam mounted with a slight tilt so the image is not level.

so can recommend a stable, best with indicators of angle. light to carry & small would be good as can be use for outdoor shootings.
also budget max 100 or slightly higher.

btw is those 300-500 bucks kinda tripod really worth it?
saw a lady carrying a big tripod onto the train the other day. wondering what she is using with a big tripod like that. & also saw another guy over the weekend taking picture of bugis. with a very tall tripod & mounting a F90 i think.

hmm he never say how much he bought it for...
sometimes looking at those brand already blur enough den come those part number & accessories..

how about adjusting the length of your tripod legs to make the cam level? then u won't need another tripod.

sorry to dig my old thread.

you guys think its better to get a ball head or a 3 way head?

For your setup.. a ball head will be good.

But if you intend to use heavier setup. Some ball head will creep when you use it. Like a 1.5-2kg setup, esp at portraits mode.

A pan-tilt head will be better in this case. They are normally cheaper than ball head but take up more place.

go for a good ball head....save u the trouble of buying a few pan/tilt head....
