Budget below S$20.
Purpose: for presentation in a small-medium room.
Batt requirement: better AA/AAA batt.

Any suggestions?

This is completely off topic, but I suggest NOT using a laser pointer for presentation. Laser pointer is distracting and it's not "permanently there", so difficult for the audience to focus. IF you are doing a powerpoint presentation, you will be better off using the mouse cursor, or use the transition effects to make points come out one by one for more focus... ;)

Just my 2c!

I see yr point point, but some presentations are done without a computer but using projector, so no mouse is available in the latter case. :dunno:

one of my lecturers use a retractable pointer cum ball and uses the shadow of the pointer to point :D

a laser pointer is difficult to see, as in not permanent. the audience need to search the screen for a while before they see where u r pointing

anyway if u really want a laser pointer, can find them in pasar malam for $10 or less. Comes in various interesting shapes too. :D

tom, if you are doing your presentation in NUS classrooms, some projector remote controls come with a built-in laser pointer. Can save some money.

oops, sorry, pasar malam is a local term meaning night market, or Ye4 Shi4. Have u seen those tentages erected along pathways in HDB flat areas? Those are pasar malams lor. No fixed location cuz they are mobile. Or if u can find those neighbourhood shops in old town centres like Bedok, Clementi, Ang Mo Kio etc, can find cheap laser pointers too.
