I need recommendations for a fully automatic compact camera that is FILM based.

I wonder whats' good out there.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Try looking for Olympus Mju II or Yashica T4/T4 Super/T5, all non-zoom models.

APS film cameras are very compact. Can take photos in 4:3, 3:2 & 16:9 format.

Very true, however, personally I won't recommend APS cameras for a number of reasons:
  1. APS film catridges are more expensive compared to normal 135 (35mm) film, both in terms of film and development.
  2. APS film catridges are not widely available or processed - think traveling to less developed areas, and their usage is all but extinct.
  3. APS has a smaller film size, meaning you'll have less resolution (smaller frame having to be enlarged by a higher factor compared to a 35mm frame).

Thanks for all the replies. Appreciate it.

APS is a dead format... not recommended for serious use...
