Yes!! :)
I went down to SLS and bought a Minolta S304.
Set me back by $800.
Got a charger and 4 AA rechargeables for $25.

At first i avoided Minolta coz i thought it did not support CF cards.
Then i found out that it supports CF Type I cards.
It is a really powerful camera...at that price.
Allows you to record sound in movie recording.
The manual is so detailed on the features that i got 'blurred'.

It seems the CF card has to be formated by the Minolta camera
before use.
My PDA's CF card cannot be read by the camera.
Maybe I should format it in the camera first, then try adding folders to the CF card to use it in the PDA.

Will post some shots soon!

not to forget you need to run it through the Minolta software to change the photo into correct RGB colour space.

a bit tedious.

:dunno:
Why is there a need to do that?
My PDA can read jpgs directly.
:)

Some problems I encountered are:
1. Very slow refresh rate for each image viewed in the PDA.
2. Casio BE300's image viewer programs do not recognize the DCIM directory which all digicams use for the CF card (Rite?)
I had to move the images over to the My Documents\Photos directory before it could recognize them.
The image viewer is inflexible in the use of file directories.

If the PDA is a PocketPC2002 device, then it should have better image viewers and larger memory.

Q. What is the best way to share photos with friends besides the
old-fashioned photo album?
