Hi there,

Hope you guys can help me out with this.

I have been browsing through many threads here and all of them are either digital or SLR type camera discussions

How about those normal cameras ?

For myself, I am considering the olympus mju series 170.
some of the reviews arent that bad at all.

Anybody having experience with this series of cameras ?
Or maybe you can recommand me some other P&S brands ?

Basically just a leisure user.

Pls help me out with this.
Thank you

ps> hope im not an extra posting for a non-digi cam

Just go for the Olympus. At this market segment, there's not really much to say. Don't go for a camera with too many frills though.

I think Minolta Riva Zoom Explorer 75w (lens is 28-75mm) will meet your needs and will be cheaper than Oly ones..

I recommend a Mju II fix-lens (35mm) too which I use often;)

Thanks for the comments guys
very much appreciated :)

btw snow, which series of mju are you using ? 170 ? 115 ? wide80 ?
how you find yours ?

I using this:

It not a zoom camera and compact enough for me to carry it around most of the time. Might want to get the black color one as a gift for a friend.

My zoom compact camera is Minolta Riva Explorer 75w (zoom from 28 to 75mm).

You can find out more about P&S at this website:-

Highly recommended!!:)Mju II review

Miu camera is a legendary PnS camera.

For P and S, you can also try the Yashica T5, it is almost as small.

or... a konica Hexar AF :p that's considered a P and S also :p

Yea right.. if you can find the Hexar and have the money for it in the first place.

pardon my ignorance.

What is a hexar ?
How much is it and why ?
