Just want to find out the top 5 ranking of these popular cameras.

1st and 2nd spot is either Nikon and Canon, needless to say lah.

So from 3rd place onward, I dun know.

It is :

Olympus
Minolta
Fuji
Contax
Sony

or who have the statistics can share?

I am a 'no knowthing' about photography guy.

So, care to explain why sony last place?
I have seen ads of sony's DSC series........ is it no good?

not sure abt others, but Olympus deserve the 3rd place for it fine optics.

Let me clarify these points:

1st, this is NOT a poll.

2nd, this is NOT a flame bait. Of course I can stop people from bickering because of the ranking.

3rd, I just want to find out the actual market share of various camera manufacturers and sad to those who maybe offended statistic is hard fact.

If you find this boliao, then sorry. Just want to see anyone got the statistics of the market share onlu.

yeh...and I was dead sure Minolta is the THIRD brand behind Canon and Nikon. By the way, from world wide forums...Canon has the biggest market share and are fast leaving in Nikon in their wake.

Might be rumours but many of the top pro nature photographers have switched from nikon to Canon because of IS.

Please lah, there is no such thing as ranking of cameras :O .... it's the feel with the camera .

I have 2 Minoltas and a Canon, sold off an Olympus b4, so?

Comparatively, I like the Minoltas more then the Canon, not because it is better, but it's my baby camera
