Hey guys I thought it would be a good idea to shoot out when it's raining to capture some really dramatic shots in the rain. My dslr is weather sealed But the lens is not,so I am thinking of getting a rain cover. With a raincover (front element exposed), is it safe to bring my gear out provided it is coated with an uv filter? do I need more precautions? thanks!

NTUC plastic bag.

NTUC plastic bag.

The white NTUC plastic not nice lar, the fruits section's translucent plastic bag looks nicer :bsmilie:

That said, my friend used the translucent plastic bag and put the cam (MFT) in, make a opening at the lens portion, screw the filter over the opening. His camera still alive after the foam party where he got almost drenched completely. *Not sure if it will fit a standard sized dslr*

It looked like a guy wearing a dress :bsmilie:

But yea, if you don't wanna go thru the hassle of getting drenched then a telephoto lens will work better.

A 500mm lens would be great :)

Nikon AW1 ftw!! :p

Going for a rain video soon. For slow sync mode. Heh heh!
