may i know what to look out for when buying polaroid cams? besides using 600 film. what other specs must i lookout for?

What to lookout for? First, is how deep is your pocket. Ha ha.. :bsmilie:

Just like what (iboey) has say. Get a empty film pack and test everything.
But, if this is your first time getting a polaroid i guess you wouldn't have a empty film pack.
Not just the flash! Flash is just a function that helping you to take a better pictures.
The most importent for all is the shutter life! Without it! The cameras is useless!

Almost all 600 series polaroids come with a fix lens and fix focus function.
So, nothing much to look out for. Film wise? SX-70 or 600 film camera.
That is not a big problem too. Just get a ND filter everything is good.

Just go workout your budget.

Check out this link :: http://polanoid.net

The website have more than 95,000 polaroid pictures.
And more that 300 type for different camera using different type of polaroid films.

Maybe you have a rough idea on which model to choose. ;)
