Questions about close up filter

Hi guys, I'm not ready to go into macro yet so I'm thinking of buying close up filters..
I chanced upon this seller :

Price seems reasonable. But I have a few question before I proceed...

1) is the brand important? Should I pay more for brand like hoya?

2) if i stack all 4 filters together, will the IQ drop by a lot?

3) should I be better of with a single +10 filter?

Stacking that many filter will certainly degrade image quality, if you are looking for a good close-up filter, then check out Raynox DCR-250

I think hoya makes some dual element close up filter at good prices. Raynox, Canon dual element filters will cost a little more. I have tried stacking 2 Canon 500d together and the IQ is slightly affected already.

HOYA Close-up filter (1 element) only have maximum +4 diopter

HOYA Macro Close-up filter (2 element) available with +10 diopter

I got mine from Cathay Photo. These lenses are also available at many other shops e.g. SLRR and MS Colour.

Anyone know the price of the Hoya +10?

A 55mm +10 HOYA Macro Close-up lens (two element) cost $86.00; they don't have anything larger than 55mm.

There are quite a few people that are using Raynox. Saw some good results. I believe it can fit onto 52-67mm filter size. Can do a serach.
