we all know that there is glossy and matt finish. but then what about those finishes that is rough in surface. like most wedding pictures.

how is done?
can it be done by just bringing to a lab?
what is the term called?

Nobody replied to this thread? :dunno:

I think you are referring to lamination. It's an extra layer pasted over the photo, photo must be in gloss otherwise there will be air bubbles. (at least that's what i was told!)

There are specialty shops doing lamination, tho I'm not sure where. The pros, any recommendations?

i have the impression he's refering to printing on canvas - the 'rough surface'. i was going to post a new thread myself on this.

Anyway, does anyone know how/where to print on canvas/cloth?

Not pro, but newbie here.

Are you referring to canvas? The surface is rough and it is waterproof. You can find the paper in computer shops and they work with inkjet printers.

Erm, no, i'm not refering to rough-surface paper. i mean canvas. The kind a pro or studio charge $5k to print n hang on the wall for 7 generations. That kind of canvas, if it's called canvas.
