Hi guys,

Been troubled by random computer restart of late and on certain occassions, computer will boot with cmos error (certain settings lost). Are these symptoms of impending mainboard failure? TIA

it's just the CMOS battery. Replace it and should be fine. Look around your motherboard, you'll see a watch-like battry. Remove it and look around sim lim tower for battery shop at basement, next to escalator, show it to the shop, they'll know what to sell you.

Try it, good luck.
