I think more DOF to make the whole err... "fur ball" in focus would be better. :)

Nice one there.. Just my two cents worth, but I thought it might have been even better if you can slightly shift your viewpoint to avoid the white patches at the back such that the plant can have a clean green background to better bring out the subject. :)

Thanks!.

I did think of that, but decided to include the white patches, thinking that they whoudl make the shot more interesting. Since they are so much out of focus, I thought they would not be such a big distraction.

Nevermind. Lot's of these around. Can try again this weekend.

Cool! I'm sure your persistence will pay off!

Anyway, seeing that you are staying in Seattle, have you been up to Mt. St. Helen and/or Mt. Rainer? Perhaps some pictures from the two locations might be great here. :)

Been to Mt Rainier twice last summer, but not St Helen.

Will be going there again in the nect few months.

I will post my earlier pictures of Mt Rainier tomorrow.

Never been there also.

Mt Hood, Mt Baker, Mt St Helen, these are all on my list of "to go" this year. Hope I can make it too all of them.
