hi
i would like to know what material for white bg u guys use in light tent items product shoot.
i used A4 paper but the results are not good. pls advice.

thks

Most commercial studios just use a white board or large sheet of white paper. There's no special formula per se to get the BG white, but all lies in the control of light. Also, a l.ot can be done of corrected quite quickly in post these days. ;)

my problem is the A4 paper is not smooth. like tracing paper got uneveness.
u look at it against the light u might know what i mean. :)

haha u mean post processing?

go art friends or fancy paper, buy a ivory card with 200gsm and above.

if you want translucent, get the drafting film.

if you want pro results,

buy laminating sheets which use for making furnitures and interior

or get acrylic sheets which use for sign board making.

thks for advise ;)

of course, the thicker the material chosen, the more light one would need to achieve the desired translucency.

the material can also be used for better diffusion for harsh light source... the thicker it is, the softer the light source... *of course, dun expect use a thick piece of glass to get soft lighting...*

ok thank you... i'll try them out ;)

materials aside, perhaps, try overexposing by 1-2 stops may give the desired 'translucency'.
