Problem composing pics using LCD display

I have this problem.

My viewfinder is blocked by my lens adapter, and I have to resort to using LCD display to compose and to shoot pictures. However, under bright sunlight, it's hard to make out from the LCD display that it captures what I want and that the picture is indeed in focus. Any suggestion to overcome this?:dunno:

Think I saw Cathay Photo selling before. Not cheap though.

Try on the spot before buying..
Some lcd shades may block the buttons beside the lcd as they are bigger...
