Yesterday I got my photos to be printed out at a print shop, i notice some difference in the colour and the quality of the printed photos vs the photos on computer screen, especially the dark black area, detail which could be seen clearly on computer and also the bokkeh effect is lesser.

Please advice on how to rectify these issues to ensure what I see on monitor is what I get on printed out photos.

Thanks;)

Answer - calibration. But you are asking for the most difficult one. To match screen with print.

Look at commercial solutions - like Spyder: http://spyder.datacolor.com/index_us.php

Doing it then in conjunction with your printing lab. Good luck. Difficult and painful.
It's easier to do it at home with your printer that you control. But even that is not easy
