Hi CSer, what is the differences between prime lens with fixed lens?
I heard from one of the DSLR user, he said that prime lens is using nano coating for nikon or L-series lens for canon.
Is that true?

Thanks for the reply.
Btw sorry if I'm using a bad grammar.

No. Please use google. Search for "what is a prime lens".

Prime does NOT mean "premium". It means it has a single focal length. It is a fixed lens by it's proper name.

FYI, all lenses have a nano coating unless they're pre-1980s.

Second search term: "What is fixed aperture lens" - happy reading.
And: no, a fixed aperture lens is not necessarily a prime lens.

Thanks all for the reply.
I got what the differences already.
Cheers..

There is no difference. Fixed lens = prime lens. Different from fixed-aperture lens.

Yeah, I got it already..
Thanks a lot bro.
