why not?

in general, portrait photographers uses longer focal length lenses. there are some advantages of using longer focal length ones than shorter ones. you can find the information across the net, which is very comprehensive.

my "preferred" focal length is 60-105mm lens, not inclusive of the crop factor.

But i'm looking at prime lens only

50mm or 85mm

I use my Tokina 100mm macro lens for portraits...but recently I tried using my 50mm f1.8.

The 50mm feels so much more comfortable to use due to the FL. No need to move all the way back :bsmilie:
