Hi people!

I was looking around and I reallise that there isn't a 50mm F1.8 prime lens compatable with the D3000!
Can anyone please help me out with this? I'm still looking for a 50mm F1.8 prime lens that is compatable with my D3000!
Any suggestions?

what do you mean not compatible, u can still use the 50 1.8 the only drawback is u got manual focus, u shld be looking at the afs 35 1.8 or the afs 50 1.4, alternatively u got for sigma 50 1.4 hsm or the 30 1.4 hsm if u are looking for autofocus function on ya d3000:)

You just can't use auto-focus with the Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D lens. It's not incompatible.

If you wish to have full functionality, you can consider the following prime lenses:
- Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4G
- Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 HSM

Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G will be well suited for u.

Seen many (owners of D40,D60, D5000etc) with this combination and they are very happy with it :)
