Hi,

I like to venture into nature photography after seeing all the impressive pictures by fellow clubsnapers.

If i would to get a used say 400m or 500m lens is it ok to get a manual one, or an auto one is better?

comments appreciated.

1stly, ask yourself as much as possible what are the things you want to capture most of the time in what kind of situations/places etc; etc. :)

thanks for the reply

I think birds and maybe nature. Like to go to New Zealand and spent time there shooting..

How heavy can you carry for equipment wise? Long lenses with a large f-stop (esp f/4) is not light you know? That doesn't include other equipment added in too.

PS: Btw, are you a guy or a girl?

f90x or f3.

Maybe i should change to digicam

if you are on a very very very very very tight budget, can get a russian MF 500mm. or if you want super zooms, the bigma or tamron equilivant would do. i believe all the other teleprimes are beyond budget, in my case:)
