Prices for new lenses out!!

3 out of 4 of the recently announced lenses are finally out with their prices!

AF-S 85 F1.4G - S$2459
AF-S DX 55-300 -S$599
AF-S 28-300 - S$1599

still no 24-120!!!

geez... the 28-300 street price will probably be in the $1.3-$1.4 region... still pretty pricey. price we have to pay for having AFS and VR... :sweat:

looks like the older 28-200/300 will be quite hot after this for people who need a AIO lens for FX bodies.

AF-S DX 55-300 -S$470 - $500 (RRP S$599)

Anyway, the 85 1.fG looks poisonous...

the tamron 28-300vc is about $1k. for about $450 more for the nikon version, you get af-s and a slightly bigger aperture at the long end. worth it or not you decide.

the 24-120mm f4 is really a good choice of upgrade compared to the older f3.5-5.6

Worth it, I can use for nature and travel..with the same len. Going to get one when in Singapore.

The estimated street price looks reasonable.

I can live with the street price of 28-300... And nw need to wait for 24-120 pricing to be out before I can arrive at a decision though I more gain 28-300....

intend to get 28-300mm too. just curious, is Nikon 28-300mm in the same league with canon 28-300mm. (Canon's lens look really awesome, seems as tough as tua leng gong, of course the price also is also scary)
