Just curious if anyone got lobang to get cheaper Practical Photography mags instead of paying newstand price of ~$15 each month?

some shops are able to give a ~10% discount just by merely asking. got to be thick-skinned though.
the underground news stand at Raffles Place MRT is one such shop..... but they are temporarily closed due to the renovation works. expected to re-open in Nov.

they used to cost a lot cheaper...think it's cause of the conversion rates
i called up the distributor to ask but the lady was not in n did not receive any replies from them.

$12 at Bra Basah Complex 4th floor. Leave them yr name card and they will call you when the new issue arrive. I gave up on "Practical Photography" mag as the editor was changed. Switch to some other magazine so share this lobang with you...

Considered subscribing, but all the way from UK even more ex!

Maybe borrowing from NLB is an option but must wait long queue

I found this site on the web http://asiabizhub.com.sg/osc/index.php?cPath=21_46_50 which is local (and so cheaper...) and has quite a few magazine titles.

Don't think there is a 12 issues sub, at least I don't see it on the website. If it is really 60 pounds...i would rather get from the newstand. Anyway, to save some $$$, some effort is involved.

I got my subscription done through STP, S'pore Times Publishing. U can go to their website & find out their telephone & get them to send you a subscription form. If I did not remember wrongly, they charge $158 for 13 issues. becos PP publishes 13 copies a year including the Christmas special.
