No photography allowed but judging from the seating arrangements, there should be 'blind' spots. I think they are referring to those who are paying to see.

Looks like need to organize a CS camp to chop the Sheares Bridge......high shots....

Anyway...here is the map...

looks like they would probably seal off those "no seats" area....bummer.....
The last Power boat race i watched was in Brisbane River - was the first one to finish exams and it was my last paper in Uni...and i was the only student.....there in the pits chit chatting with the drivers and get to look see look see into their boats.....all that for FREE!!!!!!!......Get to learn stuff of thier Mercury Outboard engines.......

Something interesting just came up.... Seems like the event organiser are looking for ushers/bouncers for this event and my schoolmate just sent me a mail asking if I'm interested.
