PORTRAITS OF LOVE

It began with a very simple idea. Home Nursing Foundation wished to give their patients a photograph of themselves, to liven up their houses. A sizeable proportion of HNF’s beneficiaries live in highly subsidised rental housing, many of them by themselves. It would be something they could use to decorate their bare walls, and something they could take pride in.

In the course of taking these pictures, the team had the privilege of listening to each of the patients' stories, and we were touched by the depth of what they shared, about good times and tough times, love found and love lost. It was like capturing a single scene in the movies of their lives, with each of them cast in the starring role.

About the Home Nursing Foundation

Formed in 1976, Home Nursing Foundation (HNF) is the largest and most established home healthcare provider in Singapore. We deliver a full suite of services including home medical, home nursing, and home therapy to patients islandwide. We also look after our patients’ social well-being and other practical daily needs, bringing care and support into the homes of those most in need. This is done through a multi-disciplinary, case management approach and delivered by our highly qualied teams comprising of medical, nursing, allied health and social welfare professionals.

Home is the best place to recover from or cope with an ailment. We serve patients from lower income households who require specific skilled nursing care/ procedure that is beyond the capability of their caregivers. They include the frail elderly, as well as younger persons who are semi-ambulant, bed- or home-bound.

Quality patient care is paramount in our daily operations. We work towards making their life a better one each day with their best interests at heart.

We will be assisting Home Nursing Foundation on 23rd & 24th April 2016.

For each day, the slots which you can sign up are 10.30am to 2pm and 1.30pm to 5pm respectively
Reporting venue - Raffles City 3rd Level
We'll be soliciting donation for any amount (Home Nursing Foundation) and for those who donate at least $10, we will offer to do an instant print of the picture

We'll be using ONLY loan equipment from one of our sponsors, Nikon to take pictures, photographers do take note

We'll be working in small groups of 3, meaning each group will be issued with a camera, a donation tin and speech bubble
