Large soft boxes won't??

I'm on 2.8 heavy duty thick tube Lightstand with 1.2m X 0.8m Softbox. I use this setup most of the time..

Didn't topple once ..

Depends on where you shoot and the conditions too. You can't control the weather. Better safe than sorry and have it with you so can get the job done. If not paid shoot, can take risks. But paid shoot cannot risk.

interesting way to diffuse the light, can MOD my DIY bounce card liao lol.

anyway most diffuser that cap to the front of the flash still produce harsh light as the light emission point is still that small surface of the flash gun and the diffuser surface will still have a bright center spot, only way to soften the light is to bounce it once, and reflect it onto a larger surface to emit the light then would the light be more uniform and soften.

DIY a 20x20cm softbox for my SB900 b4, only good for close range abt 1-2m only lol as the surface still not big enough.

merge my 2 DIY bounce card and use a alu sheet to make a made shift wing flash bounce lol

sorry, dont have any photo to share. it was just a quick try to try out a setup abt the same as the wing light design.

my setup was put together in min, its not stable. might try building a replica of the wing light design when i got the time lol
