Posting Tips

Critique seekers are encouraged to post your best pictures for critique. A picture with good amount of effort spent to produce will generate more interest than one that's sloppily worked out. It is also only fair to those who will be spending time giving their feedback that critique seekers put in the equivalent effort in their work.

some points listed by zaren which will be helpful to newbies, taken from the Posting Guidelines thread.

Zaren said:
some guidelines for photographers posting photos for critique;
1. know your subject
2. draw attention to your subject
3. simplify.

Critique seeker should also embed the picture within the thread instead of just providing links. This is a simple act of courtesy since the Critique Seeker initiates the critique request.

Recommended picture size

Critique seekers may want to resize your pictures to an easy-to-view size for posting.

Recommended size will be between 600 pixels to 800 pixels on the long side.

If showing a larger size picture is to be necessary, it'll be good to include the large-size image in the posting as an external link.

Many thanks for the co-operation.
