My cybershot U40.....the lens is stained with my tanning oil when I went to sentosa....

what can I do? No use wiping it at all....

go and get some lens-cleaning fluid. (eclipse)

http://www.photosol.com/eclipseproduct.htm

apply it to lens and then wipe off with microfiber cloth in a circular motion, starting from the center. repeat until its all gone.

OR, if u cant get that, get some 100% ethanol solution, (make sure its 100%) and use it i the same way.

Try to use microfibre cloth first ... if it doesn't work, wet it and dab it with some soap and carefully wipe the affected area. Once it's done, store it in a dry place.

Good luck! ;)

i dont know abt the U40, but on any SLR lens, that will totally kill all your exotic lens coatings. ><

NOT reccomended
