Btw, your sigma macros are a complete collection now! And brilliant shots as always!

Thanks Desmond! Your macros are getting incredibly good ... we got to get together for more of these sessions, not just the birding ones.

Caught this performance at the West Coast Plaza on the 24 Jan 2009. First time trying shooting stage performance and without flash. Find the the sharpness soft. Could be due to the low shutter speed about 1/45 to 1/60s. ASA at 400.

wow..all the pictures are just so breath taking.
how much is the average price to shoot such great pictures?

Your question sounds kind of.. not right. :p

It's not all about the equipment; it's more about the chap behind the equipment.

Of course, in a sense, it's the equipment - it's far easier to do a marco with a good marco lens, to shoot a get a close-up of someone from a dozen meters away with a telephoto, to get a beautiful portrait with a 85/f1.4 than a 10-17 fisheye.

But give me the best camera and best lens, and I'll not get better photos than someone who has an lower-spec camera and not-so-good lens but who has more experience/practice, composition sense and that intangible thing called 'talent'..plus a whole host of other attributes such as the willingness to get up early to catch the light!

Some of the Pentaxians here have good equipment; some have only the basic stuff; but for everyone who makes good pictures, what they have in common are the skills, practice, determination and talent to go with their kit, whether costly or not so costly.
