I intend to buy UV filter to protect the lenses that will use on Nikon D2X camera. Will the filter cause vignetting when use on AF-S DX 12-24mm f/4 G & AF-S DX 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED zoom lenses since the sensor is not full size of 35mm film? If yes, will there be any special type of UV filter can be used on the wide angle zoom lenses which will not cause vignetting?

Yes you can, and since the D2X has a 1.5 crop factor I don't think there won't be any vignetting/light fall off when you use UV filters, just don't stack other filters etc. Your image quality will degrade also. You only need to worry about this with full frame cameras.
