Beijing states that she may send PLA to manage the crowd at HK if it goes out of hand.

China should keep cool and evaluate Hong Kong's continuous violent riots with a clear mind.

China has openly accused US of being the "Black Hand" i.e. the instigator of the riots.
This is a literal extract from the Mandarin idiom 幕后黑手. Presumably China has the evidence before making the statement.

Question: Should China deploy PLA soldiers to shoot and kill HK violent rioters?
Answer: No.

It will be the excuse for US to impose sanctions, tariffs and all types of unfair charges against China. To stop the #2 economy overtaking the #1 economy. It will be the excuse to ban Huawei from 5G. It will be the incident that Taiwan's Tsai Ing Wen wanted to boost her 2020 election campaign.

Question: What should China do?
Answer: Do NOTHING. Let HK violent rioters destroy HK's economy.

When China does not react, the foreign powers will get anxious. They want to see quick "results" --- meaning PLA mobilised to take action against HK rioters. They will pressure the HK rioters to escalate the level of violence and to target sensitive & important venues, to provoke a response from Beijing.

As you can see today 26 July 2019, this has come to fruition. Hong Kong rioters have taken over the HK Airport Arrival Gate. Please note that in many countries/cities the main airport is designated by Statute Law a "Protected Place". Meaning don't try to take over any part of the airport to stage a protest. The HK rioters have manifestly broken the law by taking over the airport.

When HK rioters continue unabated protests for days/ weeks/ months / years, HK will become poor and destitute. The HK property values will crash. HK tourism industry will be hurt. Finally there will arise the anti-rioter group from among the HK people who are worried about their livelihoods. The 2 groups will clash.

Hong Kong is sovereign China territory. The territory is permanent. The people who live in HK are not permanent. As normal human beings, they live and die and be will replaced by future generations. In other words, HK violent rioters can continue rioting; but they cannot change the fact that Hong Kong is part of China. HK rioters do not understand this. The episode of HK violent riots in 2019 are a transient blip in China's 5,000 year history. They won't achieve anything meaningful by rioting violently.

Why is the riot in HK in 2019 different from Tiananmen in 1989?

Because in 2019, China is much more prosperous and militarily powerful compared to 1989. In 2019 China has a firm grip on its main land and is not afraid of copycat protests sprouting up in other major China cities. Tiananmen is in Beijing the capital city of China; but HK is different.

HK is several islands off the south coast of the China main land.
Thus HK is naturally cut off and blockaded. China is able to isolate HK's riots to prevent contagion to the main land.

After 1997 hand over, China allows 50 years of 1 country 2 systems.
Meaning no matter what the HK violent rioters do, time will pass. Another 28 years to go.
Eventually 2047 will come to pass. And then it is all over.

China can just sit and wait. In the mean time, if HK people want to destroy HK economy in their silly rant, please go ahead. (What was the rant about? There is nothing wrong with an Extradition bill to make violent criminals who have murdered victims, face justice)

There is NO need for China to take any risk, for PLA soldiers to shoot and kill HK rioters. Can China afford to take this risk? Probably yes. But in the context of a modern, rich and powerful China of 2019, it is unnecessary to take the risk.

Simply make nearby Macau and Shenzhen very rich. Let HK rioters make HK dirt poor. Eventually reality will bite when HK people compare their relative economic situation. Years will pass and these childish rioters will grow old and grow up. Then they will realise they have been made use of, by unwholesome mob inciters and foreign powers.

A Prophetic Response to the Hong Kong Students Protest

As I write this article, I am in my guest room in HK after a very powerful and annointed evening of ministry.

My heart is heavy when I see thousands of young people on the streets, protesting against the HK government of the day.

The problem is compounded by the fact that Christians joined these protest...singing hymns & worship songs!

My two cents on this issue:

1. Why are the young people even on the streets?

Innocent, naive, promising young people should not be filled with so much anger n despair....
who r behind them?

What diabolical force is behind this instigation to impressionable youth to rebel against their leaders n elders?

What evil hand is guiding these adults-to-be, to be so filled with violent rage against a law which probably is no direct concern of theirs anyway?

The law to be introduced was meant to extradite criminals or corruptors, who have broken the law or stolen taxpayers money, back to China to face justice.
These criminals are mainly corrupt ex-government officials who stashed their illegal wealth in HK n abuse loopholes in the legal system to avoid prosecution.
The extradition law if passed by HK legislators, would have brought these corrupt, immoral n dishonest abusers of power to justice!

I failed to comprehend why any right thinking HK citizens would reject this righteous law?

It is feared by our young protesters n the hidden powers behind them (their unknown financial backers?) that the China government may abuse the extradiction law to nab dissenters n critics of the communist party.

Talk about jumping the gun!

Some balance in analysis is helpful here!

What we have here is a segment of HK young population who have been led into believing that civil society in China is so oppressed by the government.....

that life under the communist govetnment is so unbearable...
like in a police state.....
if this is so, how do you explain the 150 million Chinese citizens who travelled overseas last year n return to China??

Truth is they return to China because they r happy in China....they actually live meaningful lives pursuing their dreams in communist China.....something which our young HK protesters n their western sympathisers can't wrap their heads around!

Lest HK forgets,

Be reminded that the Chinese government brought 800+ million people out of poverty the last 30 years!
No nation in world history has ever done that.....not India, Africa, the Philippines, Indonesia, South America...
most of whom follow the US political system of electoral democracy!

Truth be known...

The vast majority of Chinese r behind their government.....they live in peace n happiness under this benevolent government....they prosper under the reformist policies of the government!

Once in a while you do hear of isolated incidences of injustice inflicted upon innocent victims by corrupt officials, especially in far-flung corners of China....

Managing reform in the largest country on earth is not an exact science!

But thankfully these wayward officials r decreasing in numbers in President Xi Jin Ping's administration!

All in all, the Chinese experiment in socialism is working...down to the last man on the street..... to the horror of the west!

This success of the communist system in China is totally unacceptable to America n the West!

It vilifies their value system.....their world view....their notion of freedom....it vilifies the sacred cow of the American dream!

2. HK Youth - Tools of the West in Containing China n the East?

At the end of the day, its all about money n power! Wake up all ye precious HK young people!

America doesn't really care about your freedom nor democracy!

Under the British, for 99 years, there was never any talk of universal suffrage....its a recent invention of the West in HK after 1997 to contain China.

Just as the USA n their western allies forced the emerging Japan economic powerhouse in the 70s-90s to accept unfair trade policies, they r now doing all they can to stop China's growth

....in the end its all about money n power!

God forbids that China or any other Asia nation overtake the USA as leader n superpower!

3. The USA n its allies use whatever they can, scruple or no scruple, to bludgeon China n the world into submission under their control, politically or economically!

3. 1 USA uses human rights to undermine China....this is off course the crudest joke in 300 years!

The USA is surely one of the greatest abusers of human rights in history.

Europeans colonised the New World by exterminating the Red Indians almost in their entirety.....

when Europeans invaded North America in the 18th century, there were about 15 million Indians.....by the time they won the war with the Indians, over-powering the arrow-shouting with modern guns n rifles, only about 250,000 were alive.....

White Americans massacred more than 14 million Red Indians.....it was genocide on a grand scale!

And now, the USA has the gall to accuse China of human rights abusers... promoting themselves as the protector of human rights!

3.2 The USA uses the green movement to limit China's growth...accusing China n Asia summarily of green house gas emissions, pollution, deforestation...etc.

The fact is that the USA n western Europe, which consist of 20% of the world's population, consume 80% of the world's resources including fossil fuels....contributing the most pollution !

3.3 The simple fact is that HK young people r being used n manipulated to disrupt legitimate governing authority to undermine China...

Creating instability...for the ultimate goal of forcing China to concede more economic advantage to the US..

In other words, using unfair n destructive tactics to contain China,

just like they did to Japan before...in the 80s the US targeted Toshiba, the symbol of Japanese technological prowess back than.....just like they r attacking Huawei today.

4. As Christians what should be our response to the street protests?

4.1. Peace.....all our responses must be non-violent. We must engage peacefully with government leaders to seek understanding...n suppress the spirit of rebellion n disobedience.

4.2. Respect....all leaders n government...its God who raised up government for his higher purpose. Street protest is unacceptable to true Christians.

4.3. Build trust-relationship with both HK n China leaders....reach out...communicate positively....the communist government is not against Christianity nor other religions.....they r just against bad people who cause trouble under the pretext of Christianity.

4.4. Prayer.....this is the most important n effective thing Christians can do. Pray for the young people...pray for HK n mainland government...pray for peace, understanding between HK n China.....most of all, pray for healing n revival through God's power n love.

4.5. Finally, the youth r not necessarily bad people.....just manipulated n deceived.....by powers political n spiritual, which they know little about!

May God save our precious young people in HK!

If you read Leslie Fong report in today ST, that is what normal asian see it and not those hoping to disrupt asia. While I can agree that China can wait and see. It is like others throwing shits at California and Americans sit back and do nothing. Wait till they throw the shits at their heads then they should act.

The Unstoppable Force crashes into the Immovable Object. Both sides do not give way.
The Hong Kong protesters insist that China Government / HK SAR Administration must comply with their list of unreasonable demands. Which includes universal suffrage for Hong Kong right NOW in 2019.

Will 1.3 Billion population of main land China bend to the will of a much smaller number of violent rioters in Hong Kong? But that would not be democratic. Clearly this will NOT happen.

However there is a Win Win Solution. It comes from an unexpected corner - the White House.

Trump recently tweeted. Quote { "If you're not happy in the U.S., if you complain all the time, very simply – you can leave. You can leave right now."} UnQuote.

Perhaps Hong Kong protesters can migrate to US & UK where they can enjoy life under the "democracy" as practiced in those countries.

Compared to the compassionate tolerance shown by the Hong Kong police so far, check out how the US & UK government forces treat protesters in regions under their rule.
For US, you can Google - Kent State massacre
For UK, you can Google - Amritsar massacre

I like this one!

It is very unfortunate that navies HKers think they are US Bristish subjects. It is like Singaporeans thinking they were Americans. You can be American by migrating if they want to accept you but you won't able able to change HK status.

Once this fact gets drilled in and understood, all these instigators should be highlighted a condemn by international bodies. When i read press that states rubbish, I wonder why would country still publish them? What is their motive or are they under some command?

Many press reports are bias and many Hongkers are ??????

Many have forgotten their roots. If HK economy collapses, they have no place to go!

Seek US or UK help? Migrate there? And who stay back?

Heehee!

Hopefully it won’t be a repeat of Tiananmen.

9 August 2019 National Day just passed. Watching the Singapore NDP 2019 and then the August 2019 Hong Kong riot videos, is a juxtaposition. Between SG where the (most) SG citizens love their country versus HK where some HK rioters for unknown reasons hate their city.

Watch this news video of Hong Kong residents who confronted the rioters who were carrying US flags at HK Airport.

And these videos of violent Hong Kong rioters that CNN news reporter repeatedly emphasised were "peaceful"

Let's monitor how it turns out for HK.

I am sure we all don't enjoy seeing HK today while those investigating are fanning it. The fact that those countries flags are flying and yet none condemn the action tells alot.

Why are those great guys and gals hiding behind the masks?

Show people that you are the one fighting for ???????? and show the world that you are future leaders and freedom fighters.

Just don't hide behind the masks!

They only show they like the countries. Nothing wrong with that. Just leave HK/China and join them and carry the flag forever!

I call those behind the masks... COWARDS

Just saw this. Why not make everyone happy in a Win Win solution. China gets rid of these violent rioters. Give them a free air ticket to migrate to US. These idiots get what they want (live in "democratic" US). Where White supremacists in US will treat them badly and the US police do not hesitate to shoot and kill Blacks and non-Whites at the slightest excuse. Then they will wake up from their "democracy" delusions.

What a joke.

You are most welcomed in US and why are you staying in HK/China?
