Of course.....if not full of unwanted dots.

So which one did u use?

Sorry, I meant what software reduction was used...

I tried Blackframe NR, but it "ate" away the noise.....
ie the noise was replaced by black spots....

Erm.......you must remember to take a 'black frame' after every fews shots to have accurate results.

Cos the hotter the DC gets the more hot pixels there are...e.g. a 8 sec exposure black frame taken when warm has more hot pixels than one taken when cool.

try to use spot metering to take moon shot ;)

It's actually more of a problem with the 2.7x digital zoom.....at 10x optical zoom the Moon looks a wee bit bigger than a peanut. :D

Thanks for the tip Jayan :)

Have a look at
"my" moon
Took it with C700UZ+C-180

The C-180 could get u closer, but remember to use unsharp mask.

Jayan, maybe you can post a guide on how to reduce noise. I'm interested to learn.. do you mean i haf to do this:

1. take the pic
2. take a pic wif the lense cover

then use the software to reduce the noise?
