Pissed Off!!

Hi folks,

Just came in here to rant (aka KPKB) a little. Not sure if anyone have similar encounters like me.
I was in Bangkok recently for a short holiday. As usual, will visit Grand Palace, Wat Pra Kaew bla bla bla...

There are many China Chinese tourists visiting these places and the problem starts here;

- They speak VERY LOUDLY to each other even though they are just 1 meter apart.
- They jump queue, squeeze themselves to the front of the queue etc...
- They spat on the floor
- They don't give a damm if you are taking a photo and they just "pose" in your view
- They see someone taking a photo, don't care, just cut through

I am a Chinese myself an I felt DAMM pai seh... ARGGGGGG!!!!! ;(;(;(;(;(

Mainland Chinese have been known to exhibit such behaviour. Which is why I always try to speak good English in order to distinguish myself from them

Yes...having the same experiences over & again when I'm overseas... from Genting Higlands to Hong Kong to Thailand to Australia... So bloody damning !

Just one month ago, I told off an entire group of them at the Asian Civilisation Museum for jumping & cutting Q... Even an age old granny wanting to bully my 10 years old daughter inside the toilet... why? Over a packet of tissue packet that belongs to my daughter but that old woman insisted that she shared with her.

What's wrong with them???

Also here in Europe everyone thinks you're one of them because they don't know how to distinguish you until you talk to them... very embarrassing for our race...

Yea when I was in kunming yunan in china my sis and i decided to buy food from a china fast food restorant and we were rushing to leave for the airport .We waited quite long and just 1 more person and its our turn and a small girll just went up and looked at the menu and finally it was our turn,the small girl's mum just cut in.My sis was PO and gently told the lady not to cut Q and she mumbled 'chou nui ren' which kinda means arsehole....

Have experienced that many times locally & overseas. It's really a disgrace not only to the country, their parents but to the whole Chinese race. There's another race also like that and they like to stand very close to you. Don't these people understand what is 'personal space'?!!! Not that we're trying to be racist here but just can't stand these type of behaviour. :angry:

If you go japan some of the japanese shops will hide their samplers when they see you coming. My tour guide explained that many PRCs go there and eat all the samplers unashamedly and leave without buying anything.

Speaking about 'personal space', you have to understand that not everyone is like you lah! And it all depends on the situation, if a train is fulll you don't expect others to give you space, common sense, as it is full what? In HK its known that HK Island people like to have their space, but over in Kowloon, people don't mind to touch each other......

In fact I get pissed off here,when you accidentally touch someone and people expect you to say 'sorry all the time, come one lah! it is a crowded MRT or BUS!! Be abit understanding that there is no chance of not touching each other when the situation is like that! Also, overhere, many people just stand at the doors or never move inward inside the bus, and blocking people from coming in, in those cases I just pushed them back loh! It is not just foreign people who act wrongly, look at yourself too before complaning about others! Don't think Singaporeans are the most courteous people!

Even in Japan in a full train at rush hour you will see the usually polite japanese become rude too! I was in a full train and a young woman just turned around at the entrance and oushed herself inward, pushing the whole row of people behind her inward...it is accepted when the situation is like that....

to those with pink card in your wallet. bear in mind, we are not Chinese,we are SINGAPOREAN.

I also have alot of experience on such cases. like during aeroplane boarding just take any seats without looking at the boading pass details, cut Q, talk so loud etc

imo they are just low educated tats all....

well.. should just blame on their upbringing. their culture,
over in china, u can even find a good looking girl who look like a zhang zi yi spitting inside the restaurant, squatting at the side of the road and so on.....
they are helpless.

It is irritating and embarrassing to encounter other Chinese who behaved badly in a foreign land. It is also a fact that, PRC Chinese, are usually some of the worst I have encountered.

I won't complain about their behavior in China. After all, that is their home, and if that is how they behave, so be it. But overseas, in someone else home, it is frustrating to say the least.

I just came back from Guangzhou visiting my relatives. To my surprise, even they complain about the behaviour of mainland Chinese overseas!!! Hahaha. They asked me if I have met mainland Chinese in Singapore with bad behaviour and then went on to condemn them in the strongest terms (if you're Cantonese and can speak the dialect you'll be able to imagine, think along the lines of throwing people's mother's shoes). One thing though, when I'm there, I too speak loudly to people who are beside me since it's how everybody talks and it's impossible to converse sometimes because of all the loud talking in a room full of people...

remember i read a forum also regarding PRC chinese beahviour over in Singapore. A big group of PRC tourist which about to return home before checking in at the airport they just took off their pants with seenable underwear on themself. Imagine they change their attire in the public and everyone can see them clearly. what are they trying to do? Singapore so poor meh? no toilet meh??? or simply put do you have a god dam courteousy to respect other country when you the land which you visit is not belongs to you ???

Yes, it's quite an eyesore, but give them some time.. they will get socialised into the norms of the world.

Not all PRCs are like that, usually those more educated ones or those from big cities are tamer. Of course, I've encountered the other end of the spectrum...terok man.

I think the whole idea is that they are not well travelled, less educated, and therefore lack the knowledge of what is proper ettiquette and behaviour. To them, it's pretty normal.

:nono:I was looking for a seat in the library and couldnt find any, so I asked politely to share a seat with a fellow Singaporean (4 seated table). I was sitting diagonally to where she was sitting. Out of a sudden, a china girl just sat opposite to the singaporean lady without asking. Nvm. After whch, her friend joined in and talked pretty loudly. And you know what, the china girl's friend whois also from china, asked the singaporean lady to shift because she wanted to sit next to her friend. I mean, You guys never asked for the seats and you are expecting others to do things that suit ur ways. We were so pissed that both of us left the table.
