Ok. Your Laptop only has sufficient space. Once this space has been taken up you move your library onto a external hardrive. Once this hardrive is taken up you start on another external hardrive.
Ofcourse backup along the way.

This means my picture would be in 3 places at any one time, pictures dating back from a coule of years ago until now.
How do you find those pictures from Day 1 in photography or that time you took photos of your new dog.
Do you put key words to your photos and search?
Do you always have your external hardrive plugged in and open up your catalog from there?

With so many pictures, i am having some trouble managing them. What are your thoughts or your procedures about managing pictures?

Thanks,
Benjamin

That is a true statement.

Unless you have a way to categorize your shoots as well.
