Get CS, it can last you 3-4 yrs PS7 is gonna out of date soon in few yrs time :)

Get CS. Althought I still using PS7.

Thanks all=) does that cost hundredS?

A home casual user should do fine with Photoshop Elements.
It comes packaged with many hardware, and there's always people selling..

1200 SGD I believe for Photoshop 8 CS. (correct me if I'm wrong folks)...

In reality for domestic use any version of Photoshop from v4 to CS will do fine as well as Photoshop Elements, LE (Light Edition) etc. Other good alternatives are JASC's Paintshop Pro (120 USD), and the freeware GIMP etc. Check on CS for a recent thread about good freeware or low cost Photo editing software.

oxygn, for home user, I will suggest getting PS Elements. it has most if not all the features of PS that a home-based non-poweruser needs.

and it is so much more cheaper. download a trial version to assess your needs first.

ranger, don't get CS into trouble ok? :)
